Our approach

We view school-to-school support as a collaborative process, with mutual benefits for the supporting and the supported school. We firmly believe that, by working together purposefully, schools are well-placed to support one another on their improvement journeys.

We have a history of successful school-to-school support and are proud of the lasting links we have built.

If you would like to work alongside us, or are seeking support from a school within our Alliance, please contact John Coxhead at info@sltsa.org

Current projects

Since September 2017, we have been working alongside St Mary’s Catholic High School (Leyland). The work is part of a wider project across the North West that seeks to strengthen transition into Key Stage 3. We are seeking to improve cross-phase partnerships between Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3. Specifically, the project is targeting white British, disadvantaged pupils who attain well at Key Stage 2 but do not sustain their progress at Key Stage 3 and beyond.

So far, the project has proved extremely successful. For further information, please see the ‘Findings so far’ document below.
